How do you know if your training certificates are up to date? Here are some ways you can find out:
Check the renewal dates of any physical certificates you’ve earned
- In most cases, after passing a training course, you’ll earn a certificate. On the certificate, you can find a renewal date or expiry date. Expiry dates can vary depending on the certification.
Ask your Local
- Staff in some of the Local hiring hall & dues offices can look up your member profile and tell you if your certificates need to be renewed. You may ask if you are missing any certificates too; this is important if you’re starting a job that requires a new skill.
Ask your Local training centre
- Contact your Local’s training centre because they have a record of the certificates you’ve completed. If available, you can also check their website to see when the next round of training will be held.
