Mission, Vision, Values

The mission of the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) is to provide state-of-the-art training for members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC). With a network of training centers throughout North America, we transfer skills and knowledge from highly-skilled and experienced instructors to union members using cutting-edge curriculum developed at the Carpenters International Training Center.

Increasing the skills of our members and enabling them to do their very best work on the job is our top priority. We consider skill, safety, productivity, and attitude to be the keys to success for our members, our contractors, and our union. We are committed to providing the union and our signatory contractors a strong competitive advantage in the construction industry.

Member Portal

The Member Portal allows registered members to access information relevant to their training needs. Training Centres can upload schedules and allow members to register electronically for classes being offered. Members can also use the Portal to track their class history and stay on track for all their apprenticeship requirements.

Training Verification Cards

Training Verification Cards (TVC) are a handy way for members to stay on top of their training requirements. The TVC includes the member’s name, UBC ID, photo and a scannable QR code to access all training information. This allows them to keep track of any expiring certificates and ensures that they have all the required training for a jobsite. The TVC also allows members to see the paid-through date for their dues so that they don’t fall behind.
