Check out Mental Health: Tips, Reminders, and Finding Resources!

When trying to maintain our mental health, some days can be harder than others. On difficult days, we may even feel that we’re totally on our own.

As a UBC member with the Carpenters’ Regional Council (CRC), you share a bond with your fellow brothers and sisters who are looking out for you. Telling a friend on the jobsite about how you feel can relieve some of the weight from challenging mental health moments.

The CRC also wants to help alleviate pressures on your mental health. Depending on your location, you may have access to mental health coverage through your Benefit Plan, which could include counselling, a call centre, helpful literature, and therapy. Every plan is different, so reach out to your Benefit Plan administrator to learn more about the services they can connect you with. Your Local can also provide information about support for your mental health, so inquire with a member of support staff. You matter.

Supporting each other unites us during times of struggle, and asking for help is crucial to our well-being. Your Union is here for you. While we all do our best to maintain our mental health independently, we encourage you to reach out in times of need and lean on the support and resources available.

Always remember that you are not alone.
