<p>Le Conseil régional québécois de la Fraternité unie des charpentiers menuisiers d'Amérique regroupe les sections locales 134 et 830. Elles représentent les charpentiers-menuisiers et poseurs de systèmes intérieurs partout dans la province du Québec.</p>
<p>The Quebec Regional Council of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America includes Local 134 and Local 830. They represent carpenters and interior systems mechanics throughout the province of Quebec.</p>
<p><strong>Important Information:</strong></p>

<li><strong>Mandatory Union Membership:</strong><br />In the construction industry in Quebec, for trades governed by Law R-20 (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.), workers are generally required to be members of the union recognized by the collective agreement for their trade in order to work on job sites covered by this law.<br /><br />This also includes the payment of union dues.<br /><br /></li>
<li><strong>Legal Basis:</strong><br />Article 11 of Law R-20 specifies that employers and workers must comply with collective agreements and industry arrangements, which generally include union membership.<br /><br />Unions have the exclusive right to represent workers in their trade for the negotiation and administration of collective agreements.<br /><br />Therefore, in Quebec’s construction industry, in order to work legally in a trade covered by Law R-20, it is mandatory to be a member of the union corresponding to your trade.<br /><br /><a href="https://www.legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/document/lc/R-20?&cible=%22">Source</a></li>
