<p><strong>About:</strong><br /><br />Ontario’s Pioneer in the Trade<br />Millwright Local 2309 holds the proud distinction of being the first millwright local union chartered in Canada, officially established on July 6, 1950 with just 16 founding members. Since then, it has grown into one of the country’s foundational trade unions in the millwright profession.</p>
<p>From its modest beginnings, Local 2309 has expanded to over 1,500 highly skilled, cross-trained construction and maintenance professionals. With a 75-year legacy, the Local continues to evolve by investing in advanced training, promoting diversity, and preparing resilient tradespeople to meet the demands of today and the future.</p>
<p>Local 2309 members are known for their technical excellence in installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing precision machinery. Our work spans diverse sectors including energy, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and more. A commitment to intensive safety training, accurate workmanship, and leadership development ensures that Local 2309 delivers a disciplined, reliable, and productive workforce on every job site.
