<p><strong>About:</strong></p>
<p>Local 397 was established on May 28, 1941. Local 397 also part of the Lake Ontario District Council along with locals 572 Belleville, 1071 Cobourg and 1450 Peterborough. In the late 1990's LODC and its four locals became part of the Central Ontario Regional Council in April 2001. Shortly after the LODC amalgamated all its locals into local 397 and wrapped up the LODC efficently by August 2001. To date local 397 has 965 members working in the Formwork, Drywall, Scaffolding and Millwork sectors.</p>
