EventsMember Engagement Conference: Canadian Delegation Makes History

December 2, 2025by CRC Staff

From October 5th to 7th, at the Carpenter’s International Training Center in Las Vegas, the inaugural Member Engagement Conference brought together over 500 Sisters and Brothers from across North America.

Among them, Canadians made history. With 106 delegates representing all five of the Canadian District’s Regional Councils; from St. John’s, NL, to Fort McMurray, AB, to Victoria, BC, Canada had the largest delegation of any District. It was a true testament to the mark Canadians continue to leave on our International Union.

From the newest apprentices to seasoned journeypersons, organizers, admin, and training staff, Canada’s delegation showcased the depth and diversity of experience from all five Regional Councils in the Canadian District.

Also present at the conference were EST Mark Beardsworth of the Millwrights Regional Council, EST Debbie Romero of the Atlantic Canada Regional Council, EST Robert Pesant of the Conseil Régional Québécois, EST Hamish Stewart of the National Construction Council, and Eastern Ontario Area Manager Adam Gillis of the Carpenters’ Regional Council.

Over three powerful and emotional days, participants united under the theme: “Rise. Restore. Inspire.”, to strengthen member engagement, leadership, and solidarity across our Brotherhood.
