UBC members are working on the largest and most ambitious transit project in Edmonton’s history – the Valley Line West LRT. Spanning 14 km from downtown to Lewis Farms, this project will provide reliable and environmentally friendly transportation, transforming the future of transit for the city’s growing urban neighborhoods.
The Valley Line West LRT is one of Edmonton’s most complex infrastructure projects, requiring extensive construction led by UBC contractor partner Marigold Infrastructure. The work includes 14 street-level stops, two elevated stations, two bridges, and an elevated guideway—built using a gantry crane, a first for Edmonton’s construction industry.
When construction is completed in 2028, our members will take pride in having contributed to a truly generational build.
